Trying to figure out Richland County EMS unit numbering. I have listed below what I think I know, but I'm sure some of it is incorrect / incomplete. Do the line unit numbers have any significance other than the vehical number? Any reason that they all go back to HQ for shift change, that seems very inefficent for a county of this size. Anything else anyone can add would be great.
S1 - EMS Director
S2 - Deputy EMS Director / PIO
S3 - ???
S4 - Hazmat Coordinator? (Usually on HAZMAT Channel)
S5 - ???
S6 - ???(Does weekly radio check with centeral)
S200 - S269 (Line EMS units, can't find any ryme or reason other than vehical unit numbers)
S274, S275, S276, S278, S279 units (Line Supervisors)
S3xx untis (Shift Managers / Supervisors ????)
