Listening to feed archives

I want to listen to the feed archives for the local fire departments here, but with the few dispatches that they have there is no way for me to tell which part of the audio files have traffic on them. Does any one know of a program or a way that will scan theses files and stop when there is something actually to listen to?

Please help me find an easier way to listen to the archived files

You can use audacity to see where the audio is and trim it.
