This is not really a feed-related question, but all the experts on thin clients seem to be posting in this category.
I want to be able to use my serial-controlled radios ( BCT15X, IC-PCR100, IC-R75) via a thin client (like an embedded XP OS) vs. a PC, simply to save on space and cut down on heat under my desk. I run ProScan and Shortwave Log software. Is this possible? I do have 4 USB to serial converters, if they are an option here.
I have no issue on having my regular PC set up remotely to facilitate this, if necessary. It seems worse case scenario I can run everything off of the PC and just use the thin client as a way to control the scanners and shortwave via their software clients. I just want to get that darn hot PC out of my radio room.
