I bought a Slingbox Solo last week, but now I am considering returning it and getting a Slingbox PRO-HD. My thoughts are that since it has an internal ATSC tuner and can connect to three A/V sources, I would do the following:

-ATSC Tuner: Local DTV Channels

-Source 1: DISH 722k Satellite Receiver

-Source 2: HD FM Radio Receiver

-Source 3: Uniden Bearcat BCD996XT Scanner

I have never streamed scanner audio before, so I suspect it is simply a matter of running a line from the scanner LINE OUT or EXTERNAL SPEAKER jack to the Slingbox. I suspect the biggest shortcoming is I will have absolutely no control over the receiver other than volume. Anyway, for anybody here that may have tried this in the past, how well did it work out for you? Are there other, better choices that give you full remote control over the scanner? Also, since I am on T-Mobile and have only 2 GB of data per billing cycle, does anybody happen to know how much data is used for audio streaming?

Streaming at 16 Kbps for 8 hours a day would use about 1.75 GB per month.
