Legality of re-broadcasting scanner feeds

Hi,

I wanted peoples advice on re-broadcasting scanner feeds over the phone. I looked in to this one and got back mixed results. Does anyone know where I can possibly get more information on offering a phone number where people could call in and based on a menu listen to different feeds?

The "Communications Act of 1934" is an old law which was amended by the "Telecommunications Act of 1996".

READ POST #4. You are reading and interpreting a law which no longer exists.

The Communications Act is still law. It was not repealed. It was amended. The privacy provisions in Section 705 are still in effect, and have been strengthened for some radio services by the Telecommunications Act and other statutes.
