Audio Card Issues

I am starting to have issues with the on-board audio (Via chipset) on the computer I am using as a feed provider (Kent County DE Fire and EMS). As a result, I am looking into adding a new audio card and disabling the on-board audio. The motherboard is an Asus quad core AMD 640 with PCIe ports available. I am running Win7 Home Premium 64-bit with 8GB ram. I am looking toward the Creative Sound Blaster Audigy FX that comes with the SBX Pro Studio software.

2 questions regarding this card: Is anybody currently using it? Are there any issues with it and the Scannercast Program? My scanner is a RadioShack PRO-405 and using the audio-out from it to the line-in port of the desktop computer.

I don't have any experience with the Audigy, but I'm using this for my feeds and it works flawlessly.

It works with both ScannerCast and RadioFeed (I'm using RadioFeed).
