Hello, i am currently running 5 feeds all using different usb audio sound cards. i am looking at reducing the ubs sound cards with a usb interface or if anyone has a better idea let me know. i need at least 5 inputs and up to 8 inputs would be great..

Hi Matt:

I used to run 6 feeds from 1 Dell PC tower that had 3 available PCI slots. I put sound cards I salvaged from other PC's into two of the slots and a used M-Audio Delta 1010 LT sound card I got off Ebay in the 3rd slot. The Delta card could handle 4 feeds itself. This type of set-up was more common in the "old" days when multiple PCI slots were standard. Not sure if this is an option for you , but wanted to share.

If running your feeds on usb sound cards is working why try to make changes?
USB sound cards are cheap, USB hubs are cheap.

I have 1 old laptop with a 6 port USB hub and running 5 feeds. It works.
