Hi, I occasionally need to dig through feed archives and was wondering if anyone had found software that can be used to find transmissions in an MP3? This could just be visually like a spectrum analyzer, doesn't need to be automated. What I would like to do is download the MP3 and then be able to quickly identify when a transmission occurred so that I can listen to all the transmissions in the file.

Something like this (Audacity)?

EDIT: I believe this also provides an option to remove the silence in the recordings.

Audacity is great for listening to audio archives on RR. I use it often with my own feeds when I missed something. The remove silence feature is very handy. You will find that under Effect / Truncate Silence
