I just paid to upgrade a short while ago. The subscription page says it should immediately start working, but that doesn't appear to be the case (profile still shows as free member). My credit card is showing the charge. Any help would be appreciated.

You've got the Premium Subscriber badge so it would appear to be working.
It did eventually kick in. Perhaps when I read "immediate" that meant it would occur after I was shuffled of the payment screen. Instead it took around 15 minutes. Not a big deal, I was just concerned because it wasn't "immediate."
