Help a New User

Hi!

I just purchased a Radio Shack Pro 97 scanner. I also have purchased Win97 and I'm a premium subscriber to RadioReference.com. And boy, am I confused.

I see know the city services I want to program in and I can find the frequencies on the website, but I don't know how to read the tables and I don't know how to get the talkgroups programmed in.

Everything I've read says the software I have sould be very helpful, but I don't know what to put where. Plus, I can't seem to get the serial cable to work.

Can anyone help me or point me to some help that is in plain english?

It seems that my serial cable isn't working right. I guess I need to go and get the usb cable tomorrow.

Hi whiplash, I think you might have better succes if you post in the Radioshack forum. I wish I could help, but I do not use either of those products and would be useless in helping lol. Good luck
