Local Scanner Coverage by County/State

Something for the development team:

create an option in users profiles to select what counties/states they are scanning and display through Google maps.
It looks like gov. databases won't provide lat/long for city/town boundaries, but they certainly do for county/state.

something to this affect:
http://maps.huge.info/county.htm
Click on any county in the US, and it will outline that geographic area. You can add to your selection by clicking on more counties.

if my ramblings make any sense, I'll explain further if there is any interest.

Not a bad idea I track stations ive heard just for the heck of it. Kinda interesting when the skip is rolling. I do it on maps and was considering just doing it on the web like with contact map. Not sure what site or program to use. The Google one only shows the county seat with the balloon. Thanks Hoser147
