How do I tell if my tk-5210 is trunking compliant? If it is not, is there a way to make it trunking compliant?

I recently bought a TK-5210 and am having some issues programming. I got the personalities set up, but I can't seem to get the display to show their names or get it to scan. I have programmed my own TK-280 and 290, but this is presenting a whole new set of issues. Any help would be so helpful.
