beast

I currently own a GNS 5890 stick and plan to upgrade in the future to either Beast or Kinetic product. What seems to be the prevalent choice? What seems to be the best ADS-B receiver yet? Why? Do both work with whatever software is out there; e.g., Plane Plotter, Base Station, etc.?
