data apx motorola

I have an APX7000 with UHF R1 band (can transmit on 70cm amateur band) that I'd like to build a custom accessory for, which would use the radio to transmit data packets. I'm quite familiar with the accessory connector/pinout for the mic/audio/ptt parts, but have never worked with the data pins...
