dmr text messages

Hello RR people, I’ve got two Motorola DP4601 (European version of XPR7350) on firmware R02.09.00.0001. Both have a channel programmed to the same frequency, slot, color code, with unique IDs (101 and 102). Private contacts are set in radios, no DCDM enabled. Voice TX works, call alerts...

I have 2 Anytone 868 radios programmed identically. The only difference is the DMR IDs. I am using simplex. I can send text messages between the radios using a talk groups. But I want to be able to type in a DMR ID and have the message sent to the radio with that ID. I cannot seem to make this...
