ft-60

Help please...I want to set up some of the channels into scan banks for police & fire freqs (receive only, NO transmit) on my Yaesu FT-60... Using FT-60 Commander, I'm able to set up the 2 way ham freqs OK... But it won't accept non ham band freqs, even though the manual says it can receive...

so just did the transmit mod i got form KB2LJJ Radio Mods Database and Manuals and my radio now only powers on when it wants to. for instance if i have it on and then turn it off it wont turn back on for maybe an hour or so. no clue what the deal is, two of my buddies have done this to theirs...

Thanks to my dog, my FT-60 met the floor personally. The sound isn't coming in clear and the squelch seems always open. It's really disappointing because I always have been very careful not to drop it or even handle it recklessly. I'm thinking of selling it on eBay or directly as damaged for...
