The Athens Daily Review reports that Henderson County is buying a P25 system from Harris for 4.5 million dollars plus annual maintenance cost. It will be finished by winter of 2021 (presumably that means January, not December). It's digital so it must be better.

Just saw this on WFIE 14's web site. Henderson is upgrading their 911 center, including new "state-of-the-art" radios for their police and fire vehicles and antennas throughout the city and county. It said they're getting two quotes. Given how many other Kentucky counties have moved to...
