    The Benton and Franklin County Fire agencies are planning to expand and migrate to the existing 800Mhz system used by the LE agencies. The current plan is to transition this summer and eventually decommission their entire VHF infrastructure.

    The WA State REDNET frequency has added a TX tone of 156.7hz. This channel is used for mutual aid/interop radio communications across the state. It is primarily used by Fire agencies but is available for use by any Public Safety agency at the local, state, or federal level within WA State.

    Is it worth my time and scanner space to program in Interop frequencies? I have already put in the VHF and UHF frequencies but there's quite a bit of the 700/800MHZ ones, and I'm just curious if there's any regular traffic on there or if they are just used during major emergencies
