play favorites list

I am hoping someone here can help. I don't consider myself a stupid person, but I can't for the life of me figure out what I'm doing wrong (or not doing correctly) to be able to pick and choose which of my favorites lists my BCD436HP will play. Between reading on here and watching a few videos...
