prograamming help programming

I got a Midland STP-404-A today And I'm using Oracle virtualbox to program it I got the cable and everything It was working earlier today while I was programming the radio. But now when I try to read the radio I get an error that says could not connect to the radio. Does anyone know a fix for this?
