yaesu ft-250r problem

Hello All, I have a Yaesu FT-250R Transceiver. I am trying to use the Set Mode to change the radio from Wide Band To Narrow Band. The problem is, when I press the F/L button and then 0 (Set) it only types a zero into the channel number. I tried to use the F/L button to access other functions...
