Is Anderson Co Fire (453.0250) still on the 167.9 PL tone or have they changed? I havent picked them up in a while and now I realize Im getting a 100.0 PL tone which is what the EMS went to when they narrowbanded.

Ok. I just confirmed it is Anderson Co Fire with the 100.0 PL tone.

Yea you may want to check it. 167.9 PL gets nothing now. Andersonville FD was DP'd the other day so I know its 100.0. They could have another repeater in the north also but I cant pick it up if it exists.

100.0 PL is talkaround channel? I heard the dispatch on it and I am a long ways away from Anderson County to be picking up a talkaround channel with that much of a signal. I cant even pick up my counties talkaround. Lifestars repeater is also on Cross Mtn although maybe not in the same spot and I can pick them up the same as 453.0250 100.0 PL. Havent heard anything on 167.9 since the first of the year. I can also pick up Windrock Mtn but it comes and goes and its not reliable from here. I dont have an outside antenna, I have a Diamond RH77CA portable antenna connected directly on the scanner.
Although I dont know anything about the 179.9PL, you may want to recheck what you have there because I dont believe thats is right.

Im sitting here thinking about what you said and what I come up with. When you say talkaround, do you mean they are still using the repeater and using the 100.0 PL tone or do you mean they are bypassing the repeater using mobile to mobile? I am not trying to discredit what you say and I appreciate your reply, its just not making any sense to me. I must be missing something. This is going to bug me to death now.
I think I may dedicate my scanner to that frequency for awhile.
