KXII-TV Ch-12, Sherman fire 153.7700 PL: 186.2, Grayson Co. Fire 155.9250 PL: 167.9, Howe/Tom Bean/Bells Fire 155.8200 PL: 156.7 Gainsville EOC 453.9500, Lewisville Fire, Sky-Med 1, PHI & Texas Air National Guard.

Residental Air and Water rescues are in Progress in Sherman & Gainsville Texas. This mornings rainfall, an estimated 8 to 12 inches over an hour fell over Grayson Co. trapping many. Sherman fire lost 1 piece of equipment and had two others dammaged. A Sherman Firefighter interviewed in KXII Ch-12 says, in his 16 years of duty, has never seen an incident such as this. PHI & Lifestar have been in a reconisence position over Sherman while not equipt for Rescue, the Helo's have been vital in locating stranded citizens. Tom Bean Volunteer Fire responded to a Water rescue and became victems as well. So far only one death has been reported, At Hwy-75 and Texoma Pkwy. an SUV was burried under 7 feet of water. In Gainsville, Everything EAST of IH-35 is closed to All. IH-35 and US-82 have recently re-opened traffic.

Sherman Fire has requested the aid of the Texas Air National guard, ETA on Helo's were 2 hours and comming out of San Antonio.

Footage from Sherman on Local media make Sherman look simular to Hurricane Katrina in the after-math of New Orleans.

Lewisville Fire department assisting Gainsville, Red Cross Disaster relief underway, ARES Net up on 147.00 + offset, 100.0 PL. TXU EDACS system has TXU/OnCor operations.

Not savy with IPN, and I don't know of anyone streaming this yet. to my knowldge, few stream Grayson Co. The SO is P-25, Fire is analog and the area isn't big enough to really justify Streaming Radio Audio, This is the Biggest news to hit this area in a while, Generally, most in Sherman call "Breaking News" when Wal-Mart changes a lite bulb.

Looks like a good test for interoperability. Hope the DHS is watching VHF and UHF conventional agencies trying to talk to each other and the 800 MHZ agencies as well. Try to find out if there is a gateway device such as the ACU-1000 in operation up there if you can. I didn't check to see if there were any NPSPAC repeaters in Cooke/Grayson counties, but that could help as well.
