Guadalupe County Sheriff ?

Ok so far I have

155.4375 NAC 351 Heard only DPS and K9 on here
155.9025 DCS 546 Nextedge patch, lots of traffic, not sure if it is still just the South channel
155.8275 DCS 546 Hard to pick up from my location but heard some DPS unit and Sheriff but to weak

Maybe New Berlin Chief can help out what is what now

Usually all I hear is 9025, I Don't pick up much traffic on the other channels out here in St Hedwig. I am curious as to why this system is still not in the FCC records. is it possibly because this is a leased system from S and P or maybe because they have not accepted it yet from them and they are still working out kinks? BTW I am guessing S and P because that is who is listed as the point of contact on most of Guadalupe Cos Licenses if I am wrong please correct me.

I am in Selma so I get the the 9025 clear and the digital channel pretty clear..the digital channel is not to active but when it is all I hear is DPS unit numbers and K9 doing traffic stops and some accident calls within the county

That looks like their old Narrow band channel line up and the emission designator listed is not Nexedge the last reference I had saw from Chief Strey referred to a 4 site trunked Nexedge system. this is what I was referring to. I have not been able to find reference to this system or any frequencies that might be deployed for its operation. Out here in St Hedwig I am able to pick up what sound like Nexedge control channels one is at 152.075 and if memory serves me the other was 152.1350. these are both very strong signals that can be picked up in the middle of the house using a stock rubber duckie, and searches in the FCC database for those Freqs turn up nothing also 153.0200 an Airlife licensed Freq will pick up what sounds like that same type of control channel every now and then.. it only happens sporadically at best and will last for about 10 to 15 seconds at a time. I am not sure if this is bleed coming from the Guadalupe SO System or some new type of Data mode that Texas Airlife is deploying for their fleet .

You had listed a plethora of licenses that belonged to S and P in a earlier thread when they first started discussing this system, but those were from a pool for paging in the San Antonio market. possibly where they were hiding it while still in the build out phase of the system.

The SO has supposedly used this system now for 4 Months but there is no FCC applications or Licenses that directly refer to this system its site locations or deployed freqs. I am just wondering why?. is it because they are still testing and have not fully accepted the system,or are they leasing it from S and P and therefore are not required to file a license?

Check out Parker County's licensing. Some of their freq are licensed in the 'CP' (Paging) service. These licenses are not in the RR data base. Maybe that's what Guadalupe County is doing. Further, they are licensed to frequency ranges, so the individual frequencies aren't listed on the license. Try searching for some of the specific freqs you've found on the FCC License Site (advanced search) and see what comes up.

Nexedge system licensing is leased from s n p. the 9025 is the nexedge patch to " other" LE agencies. Once all "other" agencies are all P25 capable you will most likely see the 4375 P25 repeater become the nexedge patch. For now what you have is correct. There will likely be many changes over the next year as the FD P25 system is implemented. The 8275 is not being used except for car to car simplex to my knowledge. Stay tuned!

as with any trunked, networked system that is fairly complex, there were a few "bugs" to work out. after a software update, it seems to be working much better though. I may stand corrected on the 8275...I think it is being used as a "patch" for marion PD so that they can have service inside the school. I will find out for sure as soon as i have a chance.

Thanks Chief..on the 8275 freq I heard a DPS Trooper telling a county dispatcher about a brush fire a passer by had told him about...Thought it was weird since I have only heard DPS on the P25 freq. Also on the 9025 is it the only primary now patched or is it still used for marion and south county units?

No need for a link since you guys have covered it already, but the Permian Basin system uses part 22 paging licenses as well for their 152.XXX frequencies.

So I think I found all four sites...

the control channels rotate around quite often. I don't have a method to decode the data or site numbers - so these are just my names:

Site "1": 152.0450, 152.5625, 152.8175
Site "2": 152.0750, 152.5325, 152.7575
Site "3": 152.1350, 152.5025, 152.1350, 152.6975
Site "4": 152.0225, 152.2400, 152.5400, 152.9600

In eastern Guadalupe Co, site "3" was the strongest, followed by site "1", then site "2", and weakest was site "4". These site lists were found by finding all control channels (4), then searching for voice channels and comparing signal strengths with the control channels. Anyone have a way to decode the control channel info??
