I have just gotten word that Bryan Public Works (Solid Waste, Environmental Services, Water Services and Transportation) will all be moving to BTU's DMR system beginning next week. I have no idea about what is going to happen with the current Type II system.

Here's a list of what I found so far:

SANDY POINT ROAD
453.0500 (CC05/SLOT 1) - BTU OPS CH. 1 (TGID 11)
453.0500 (CC05/SLOT 2) - BTU OPS CH. 2 (TGID 12)
453.2375 (CC10/SLOT 1) - Environmental Services (TGID 60)
453.2375 (CC10/SLOT 2) - Solid Waste (TGID 61)
453.4000 (CC15/SLOT 1) - BTU OPS CH. 3 (TGID 13) (Used by power plant)
453.9500 (CC15/SLOT 1) - Unknown (TGID 14)
460.1500 (CC15/SLOT 1) - BTU OPS CH. 3 (TGID 13) (Used by power plant)

Two techs were doing testing on the Environmental Services TG a few weeks ago and one requested the other to switch to the "Tech Channel" and TGID 14 came up with the same two people talking.

BTU OPS Ch. 3 tends to switch between 453.4000 and 460.1500.

JACK CREEK ROAD

Double-check 453.7875, it may not be in use any more. There was an interference issue with an existing user on the frequency.

Thanks. I'll have to check that.

I was told at one point that this was an IP Site Connect system, but it seems to behave like a CAP+ system on certain frequencies (453.400 and 453.950). TGs that fall on those frequencies seem to "hop" between them. For example, I've heard a new TGID, 53, on 453.400 and 453.950. I've also noticed the same thing with some of the other new TGIDs that have popped up today. I've picked up at least two others that have hopped between both frequencies. Also, the TGs don't seem to have fixed slot numbers. TGID 53 shows up as being in slot 1 on 453.400, while it comes up as being in slot 2 on 453.950 or sometimes the other way around.

Here's an updated list of what I've found so far:

TGID 51: Unknown, switches between 453.400 and 453.950
TGID 52: Unknown, switches between 453.400 and 453.950
TGID 53: Grease Plant, switches between 453.400 and 453.950
TGID 60: Solid Waste, fixed on 453.2375, slot 1.
TGID 61: Environmental Services, fixed on 453.2375, slot 2.

Mystery solved...I think.

It appears that 453.400, 453.950 and 460.150 are all part of a CAP+ system. I plugged it in to my 536 as such and it seems to be picking up TGIDs 51, 52, and 53.
