Hey everyone,

Is there a new HC system for the eastside fire departments (cloverleaf, sheldon, channelview, etc)

Have heard zero radio traffic on my moto from any of those departments on the TXWARN system. I am getting dispatches dropping on the HCEC Tac 14 VHF patch (Sheldon patch) and they seem to be dispatching for multiple departments and then stating what channel to switch to (Heard them drop a medical in Crosby and then tell the unit to switch to East Tac 3 (HCEC Crosby Tac). Also, the calls for these departments no longer seem to be on the HCEC livecad.

Anyone know what's up?

I notice last Sunday a huge amount of test tones for Sheldon FD and South Lake EMS. They were also assigning tax channels that I never heard of like east tac 5. I also heard there was going to be a new dispatch center that was going to be built a few months back

The new dispatch center is called ECOM. They are still on TxWARN in dynamic dual mode. I will update the dbase with all the new talkgroups. It is a single dispatch talkgroup, and then the depts are assigned a tac channel. We have several TDMA G5 pagers on demo to the area for evaluation right now.

So this new dispatch center is phase 2?

Dynamic Dual Mode means they can operate in Phase I or II, depending on the capabilities of the radios affiliated to the talkgroup. You will need a Phase II-capable scanner to not miss any traffic.

A little birdy whispered in my ear that some new VHF frequencies were also licensed.

Right now, the users are North Channel EMS, South Lake Houston EMS, Channelview, Sheldon, and Cloverleaf FDs. In the next six months, Huffman, Highlands, and Crosby FDs and ESD 5 EMS (Crosby) may join the system.

I’m glad they combined dispatch channels for each dept on one tgid. It makes it easier to organize

While we're waiting for the database to be updated, mind PMing me the TGIDs?

Disregard my last post. I see it has been updated. Thanks!

Yeah, it took me a second to get it all sorted out with a screaming infant on my lap, lol. If you guys see any other talkgroups that can be moved around to keep the EHCECC talkgroups separate and in good order, let me know.

Can anyone confirm 155.310Mhz with a 156.7PL is the new combined dispatch frequency? If not, it could be any of the below:
