Nice pic of your truck and the big rig.

That 5061 is a rock solid radio. We have a few at work, and I have a 6061 (its UHF cousin) that I use daily in my work truck.

Thanks for posting.

Nice. I have been monitoring the rail band for about the last 15 years too. In my area the big RR's to monitor are CSX and Wheeling and Lake Erie

The F5061 does real nice on picking up traffic ususally with the set up i can get them up to 20 sometimes 30 miles depending on the condition . I have the F5061 set up for railroad , ham and with the WX and programming the radio is easy . I have the radio devided into two zones Railroads and Ham . I have set up three scan lists one for all the Railroad channels, local tristate CSX and ham . I have the F3161 set up like that .

It was not hard to mount to the tool box but getting it level was half the battle .
