Hey Folks,

Well, it's not even close to being done. In fact it's not really even started. This is gonna be a project and I figured I would make it a series on here, and maybe get some opinions. So, I figured I would start by showing the current "keep it simple stoopid" arrangement right now. Forgive the cabin being filthy...just back from a road trip.

It's an '02 Chrysler PT Base Model. What can I say? It's a "my sized" car, and cheap on fuel. Takes a lickin' and keeps on ticking. Rolex look out. And in terms of size, it's bigger inside then you think. Plenty of room for a great set up.

First...how it is, beginning outside.

Idea right now also includes a dual battery system so I'm not running anything off the main battery. Antennas, minus one hatchback mount, will get roof mounted. The antennae will also change. A couple will get swapped out for Lariad low profiles: LP162NMO for Rail, ETRAB1550 for Police/EMS. Comtelco All Band 17" whip for scanning. Others will be upgraded.

Primary Ham antennas will become a Diamond SG7000A 18" 2m/70cm, and Diamond HV7A VHF/UHF/HF with appropriate loading coils. SG7000A will get changed out for a CR320A 2m/70cm/1.25m tribander as desired. Otherwise, the public service, scanner antenna, and rail bander will stay.

Also windows will be tinted and stereo speakers upgraded.

Lots of work? Hell yea. Take time? Absolutely! But gonna be worth it. Stay tuned...
