Have a Safe and Enjoyable weekend and Thank You and the many others here for your Service to our Great Country.

Now back to the topic of RF

Here in the Northeast we have only seen that Freq for NPS
a little farther south it is also used by TVA, USFWS and more NPS

The NAC does fall within a range that we have seen MANY of the older VHF TSA use.
but with the move to UHF each airport NAC is changing.

Keep in mind, VHF band conditions the past two days have been Exceptional
from Boston I was seeing a major South/Southeast and North/Northeast pattern for reception.

What type of traffic are you catching when the $0B9 is in use ?
CLR or ENC
Type of traffic - parking, building checks ?
also what range of RID's are in use, if you caught any.

The other option is it was a false hit, due to a weak signal and/or latency for your radio
to clear the memory from a previous hit and then display the new nac.

I've had that happen with many a radio when RF is heavy.
ie; An obvious $167 Repeater near me, but my last hit on another freq was our CBP and the FBI Hit still showed $301

and if a False hit (Latency vs Weak Signal) it is still a new one in this band.

For those familiar with LI is this NAC used in any of your Local Trunks ? UHF/800 image down into Low Band ?

Never seen 0B9 before.

4F9 on the other hand is used by Fire Island National Seashore on 171.625.

Thought not uhf or 800, USMS trunked system sites 109 (Finchville) and site 129 (not been located yet) both use 4F9.

If your seeing something other 4F9 you may be getting a poor decode or picking up someone other than Fire Island on 171.625.

I have a free dongle and will leave it up for a while. So far I have only seen nac 4F9
