Through success and failure we learn.

Looks like fun. Post a photo when complete and let us know your results after testing.

Ahh a good "homebrew" antenna is always a welcome thing here:) dad did a great job on the frame! I assume in short order too. Like vagrant said, give us some idea how it performs when you get it going.

tested

tested out the loop last night
worked good on tropical through 9.0mhz
and alright from .85 to 1.6 on mw
picked up strong stationx on all bands
ended up using 30awg magnet wire
for element
thanks dan

Outstanding! Are you using a variable capacitor to tune it?

no i use mw550p on mw and i use my old aa30 active antenna as a tuner/preamp for sw
it even got pretty clear cw on 40meters
i still am using my longwire most the time but needed a good indoor for times when wheather
doesent permit a outdoor antenna
i reccomend the 30awg red radioshack magnet wire i have used it a couple of times
now and its almost as good as generic cheap litz idont have a comparison on the really
good litz but it works beter and is cheaper than regular copper stranded
thanks dan
