OK i give-up. So I'll ask here.
I can't seem to make my 106 scan conventional frequencies. (Using ARC500) loads fine, all information is there as well as all the trunks systems.

scan list 1 empty
2 Conv local area PD ,EMS, Fire
3 Conv state wide Police
4 Trunk -Digital (mot)
5 trunk non-digital (mot)
6 Truck (racom)
and so on through scan list 14.
Any scan list above 10 also says nothing enabled both trunk an non-trunk.

When pressing scan list buttons 1 through 21 scan list 2&3 say nothing enabled. i have unloaded and reloaded several times now with the same results.
I must be missing some minor thing that i cant seem to figure out. I have read the manual now several times, but no help.

Thanks in advance for your help

Try this

TUrn your scanner off, then back on, as the welcome screen is loading, press 0, then press ent. it well ask you if you are sure you want to delete, choose yes, this well delete all the freqs in your scanner(just programed ones by you)(also doing this well reset all your settings in the scanner)

then start over with loading them

What I do is load all my Conv. freq's first into the software, and map them acordingly

then I move on to TGFRP/Digital, and load them in to Maps accordinglingy

once done, I make sure the scanner is at the main part of its screen, it should say create new

Do not touch that, Just plug in your scanner to your computer, Make sure your Fre'qs are maped accordingly on how you want them.

then go to the Upload to scanner option, chose the right usb slot, and hit start upload

if you are doing it right, You will see your scanner begin to upload with a precentage .

When finished it well say Done, and reboot,

After that you should be good to go. It has worked for me every time, And I am scanning Conv/Tgrp and whatever else there is

Tried that twice now every thing loaded and the trunking works but not the conventional. I also tried to load just conventional in a scan list that was working on a trunk system before the scanner was reset. I get the same display (nothing enabled).

I use Win500, as i prefer it over ARC500 so i personally can't look at your file.. but I'm sure if you posted your ARC500 file that someone else here (currently useing AR500) could take a look at, it and at the very least tell you what is wrong with it.

Have you assigned frequencies or talk-groups to their related Scan List numbers?

Yes : Thank you any way

I tried the psre500 and all seems to work well. Not sure what i was doing wrong with the arc500.

Thanks again

I use PSREdit-500 myself, it's great! It was developed by a local guy whom I know personally and is a good friend. He works very hard and fast at tweaking and tuning it to the user's request.

Mike also developed PRO96COM which is really fun to play with on your PRO-106, and it's FREE!
