10M and 33 MHz up this week (Oct 2015)

Great conditions on 10M repeaters, seemed mostly from the east coast, here to Arizona. I was hoping a buddy of mine from Chicago could hear it so we could QSO but no such luck.

I was also hearing several Eastern time zone stations and mobiles on the 33 MHz. fire band, mostly from PA and NY.

I didn't hear anything on 39 or 42 MHz. except some groundwave CHP traffic from CA.

I was using a BCD996XT in the car with a MON-51 antenna. It received as well on 10M (or better) than my IC7000 with a 10M fiberglass whip.

Merry Christmas!! Lots of 33MHZ rolling in Northern ILL this AM! Sounds mostly from the east.

Interesting. I've been logging lots of 10 meter beacons and finally heard a guy on 10m AM from Oregon this morning on 29.000 mhz, but nothing above 30 Mhz yet. I'll keep trying!

6 meter FM activity was heard as well during this time frame.
A station is Tennessee was hearing FM repeaters from New York State to Florida.
