For anyone interested in antenna/propagation testing - I've put up a 10m CW beacon on 28.290, 10W, on a 10m dipole-oriented N-S.

Any s/n reports will get a special B-card. Record Rx so far is HA5PP (JN97mm - Budapest, Hungary) @ 4180 miles 12dB s/n.

You can also track Rx on Reverse Beacon Network. Good luck !

Hearing it in E010 at 20:00 UTC. (1301.9 miles). About S9 with the odd swing to 10dB over... Using an IC-7600 and a 3 element Yagi.

Almost missed it. Since it's just your call/grid sent once every minute and half I had to park on the frequency for a while to hear it. I was there earlier and didn't copy it then, but I only listened for about a minute.

Hi Jim - QSL! Fine business and thanks for the report. Is your address good on QRZ?

By the way - I had a Cushcraft Ten-3 at one time. Those 10m beams are killer antennas.

You might want to consider reprogramming your beacon CW message so that it runs more continuously. That way people tuning across the 10M beacon band will be more likely to stop and not miss your beacon when they tune across your frequency. I built the NS9RC 5 watt beacon on 28.297 for our club and put 4 “dits” between each message cycle for that reason. Here is our repeating message:

(dit)(dit)(dit)(dit) de NS9RC EN62BE Chicago
