10m Repeater DXing

Yesterday, 2/27, 10m repeater WB5TUF was being heard here in NJ. An AirSpy HF + Discovery was tuned to 29.640 MHz and piped to Audacity recording software. I let the recording run mid-morning to late afternoon. Only thing I heard was the repeater ID'ing, no other traffic. I plan on doing the same with the other repeater freqs just to see what is out there. Another frequency that is active at times here is 29.640. Years ago there was a repeater from the Virgin Islands, think it was on 29.620. Antenna used is 30'vertical mounted on the ground.

It was on 29.66.

What ever happened to that ham repeater 29.66 repeater in the virgin islands. That baby kept me inspired in ham radio for many years till I found the Win system. I sure miss that bing bong repeater tail! Anyone know what happened to it and if there is any talk about getting that repeater up...

plenty of 10 meter fm repeaters being heard here in central California of late. Yesterday was a good pipeline from here to south central U.S., Mexico and Cuba. My OCF inverted V antenna with a 37’ apex was doing the job.

As to my original post I meant .620 is also active at times, not .640.
