Do you use the K-480WLA on the V/U airbands? I've heard it does well there, but want some real opinions. It would be perfect for my RT-950.

I have 11.285 and 11.300 for some of the world atc comms; but can't find a listing for 11.288.

Thanks for the reply, as I said I never picked up anything on this frequency before and then a clear audio signal comes in.

OK; I'll do some more research on that one tomorrow and I'll plug it in one of my DX394's.

Nor can I Saint. I found 11.291 SAT-2 South Atlantic Area 2 and 11.282 San Fran Aero which I always listen to when conditions are right from my home QTH into NE Wisconsin. Klingenfuss may have a areo freq. listed for 11.288. His data base has been unmatched for many many years now.

I do have 11.282 in my list.

11288.0 kHz USB is listed in the Radio Reference wiki under Federal Aviation Administration as its channel 26. I have seen other forum entries here refer to it being referenced in use for aircraft certification/test flights (including Boeing test flights). Those forum posts have more frequencies associated with specific flights including ones that are not listed under FAA.

11.288 was listed on Larry Van Horn's old Top 1000 HF Military Frequencies as assigned as an FAA frequency. Based on your recording it sounds like Boeing in North Charleston South Carolina (Home of the 787 Dreamliner program) is conducting a comms test with Boeing 041.

Thanks for all your input into this frequency, it is Boeing in North Charleston South Carolina, the person says it in the audio. 11.306.000 USB is another Boeing Seattle frequency that I can confirm.
