Thanks Metal57, the ground station had a terrible time copying PALM LEAF on Sat. , I bet he had to repeat it a half dozen times! Thank you for verifying the BROADLEAF sign also. Should be a good week to listen , it's too bad I actually have to go to work! I will tune in tonight though. Mike

Yes, I always look forward to global thunder.. The ALTRV has been posted for the Atlantic Tacamo, running from 0001Z tomorrow until 2359Z on the 29th.

REALITY is working ATRITION requesting to know which frequencies to use during the event. Set to burn on BRAVO or DELTA. Must be related to the Stratcom exercise I'm guessing.

Strange request just recieved, REACH-116 calling Offutt requesting a Selcal check on 11175. Offutt responded we do not have that capability. Obviously REACH-116 was not a USAF aircraft. I'm guessing a military contract flight???

Many USAF aircraft have SELCAL capability, including the C-17.

ETA, the pilot was probably just confused about who on HF has SELCAL capability. Most aircrews are not really that well educated on HF. Probably thought that since they normally talk to Gander on HF, 11175 would have it too since it is on HF.

Monitoring a ton of activity right now on 11175. Several aircraft sending EAM's. Sounds like a bomber is in the mix as the pilots are talking through O2 masks. Hard to make out their EAM messages. Call sign I believe I copied was ROGUE-11. I have that listed as a B52.

Sweet! Got to share some of those recordings! I got lucky and caught the LURCH flight on UHF passing by my location heading up the east coast on towards Nova Scotia. Again what a day!
