Why assume they're new young pilots? I'd think just the opposite. New pilots probably aren't apt to anger the FAA with stupid games.

I've been hearing "meow" on 121.5 in central NC for years. A few years ago there was a period where I would hear "Let's Go, Brandon" at least once a day.

It’s a common thing all over. I am in California. My favorite was a particular pilot that would go through his whole spiel to the passengers before landing. Randy, that was his name. I heard it on three or four occasions, so I wonder how often he made that error.

Airline pilots have told me if they are on a late night flight and need some entertainment, they tune in 121.5

If I amassed the minimum 1,500 hours of required flight time to do that I would totally play Austin Powers saying: "who - does - number - two - work - for.... who does number two woooork for?"
