147.345 nac 293 nyc

[Priority-One]

I have this written down from doing scans around NYC. I'm unsure where or when in NYC I got it, but it was somewhere between Harlem and Greenpoint Brooklyn. I have Skywarn written beside it because if i recollect, it sounded like weather related chatter.

Can anyone confirm this?

Granted skywarn was not activated or involved because of the incredibly quick freak of nature but we had an elementary school destroyed by a tornado it touched down just long enough to collapse the school cafeteria on a bunch of little kids.

There is a D-Star repeater on that frequency in CT. I haven't heard anyone mention an active P25 amateur repeater in the NY/New England area.

Also not unusual to have severe thunderstorms with high winds and hail during the summer months. Obviously not tornado's everyday like the midwest, but severe weather can show its face anywhere.
