The Hopkins County Long-Term Disaster Recovery Corporation is making available DVD's documenting one of the most powerful tornados to hit Kentucky in 30 years.

The DVD retells the events before, during, and after the November 15, 2005 tornado which devastated parts of Hopkins County, Kentucky including the cities of Earlington and Madisonville. It contains ABC 25 news archive footage, spotter video from various individuals, the E911 recordings from Hopkins County EOC, and footage only available on this DVD.

It would be a VERY good addition to anyone's storm spotter video collection, and would be helpful for upcoming SKYWARN spotter training this spring. It was produced by the ABC affiliate in Evansville, Indiana, and is being submitted for consideration of several journalistic awards.

100% of DVD sales go to the non-profit Hopkins County Long-Term Disaster Recovery Corporation which is helping assist families from this disaster, as well as future needs. So far 2300 copies have been sold in the Madisonville area, raising almost $40,000 for long-term disaster relief.

The 30 minute DVD is available for $18.00 ($15.00 price + $3.00 S&H via USPS)
