Good morning,
This is just to "update" those who have expressed a desire to have the 150 mile Radius Spreadsheet for frequencies near Shreveport, LA. First, I must apologize for the unexpected "delay". I have had health issues and my dear, Mother-in-Law, has had 3 brain strokes as well as having a tennis ball-sized, no-malignant tumor removed from the top of her brain. Her 3rd stroke came at 2 am, last Tuesday morning. Luckily, my wife was there and had awakened at that time to check on her mom.
In reviewing the vastness of the territory to be covered, I found it just too LARGE an area to cover and despite my best thoughts, neither I nor anyone else had the tower height and antenna capability to cover such a "wide" area. This would entail a "circle", Northeast to Stuttgart. AR. East, past Delhi, LA., Southeast to Krotz Springs, LA, South to Starks, LA. Southwest to Navasota, TX, West to Kaufman, TX., Northwest to Atoka, OK and finally North to past Norman, AR. WHEW! No, I didn't count all the counties/parishes involved.
So, sadly, I'm scaling back to a 62 mile (100 km) radius. I hope for those of you who wanted the spreadsheet, this won't change your plans to want one. Please let me know by e-maul ("flame"), he, he.
Oooooooooo, I hear "thunder". Think I'll turn the Icom 706MkII-G on and see "what's happening".
Respectfully,
