151.6850 MHz on at 1700 hrs Medford area

Wondering if anyone has heard this before.

On 151.6850 MHz on 3/24/11 around 1700 hrs in the Medford area I heard a male digitized voice repeating "Kaleel Four Hundred, Five, Five."

At least it sounded like Kaleel, could have been something else. This went on for about 10 minutes, and it must have repeated this 40-50 times.

I managed to get a recording, not the best quality but it was something.

Anyone have an idea to what this is? All searches lead back to fast food drive thru frequencies, I don't think that is the case.

Lots of these automated devices all over the place. They are used for alarm notification. Probably right in your area. I've heard one on 151.82 that says Gate 2 repeatedly.

I think that Fernald School in Waltham had a system like this. I seem to remember catching it on various freqs at various times over the years. Always the same overmodulated computer generated voice message over and over. Kinda strange.

I am not hearing anything on 151.685 from Arlington at this time.

Been there for years [Medford/Everett/Chelsea/Revere] but never tracked down.

Sounds like it's reporting Temp's.

Maybe at the Produce area of Chelsea. Sunrise Produce [WPFI909] had a license long expired

151.685 - PL 151.4 - 5 bars to me in Arlington this morning around 8 AM - overmodulated computer voice - Kaleel 100 or whatever - heard via Pro 106 scanner

845 AM - nothing heard via Pro 2004 scanner

I am also getting the message on the Pro 2004 randomly throughout the day. Maybe once every hour. Solid signal - maybe from Arlington or an adjacent town/city. Peter Sz

Its a weird voice, yeah, could be alarm or something
