Hey everyone. So, I have 151.760 programmed in for the Buckhorn FD in Perry County. I am recieving DMR digital traffic on that frequency, but it is likely not the fire department I am hearing; I looked and it appears that they are either analog or P25 capable (according to Digital Frequency Search).

Anyway, I have been searching around and see only one other possible source: East KY Power Co-op. East Kentucky Power Cooperative Trunking System, Various, Kentucky
However, the issue is that I live in Bell County, and I seriously doubt that I'd be able to recieve this from the Burnside site in Pulaski County.

Anyone have any ideas as to what I may be recieving?

Is that .67 or .76? Makes searching much easier. Also, I see Bell County is on the border of Tennessee. You might want to try search there, too. Claiborne County or surrounding.

My apologies, it's 151.670. And, I will do a search there as well, thanks!

What exactly are you hearing on this frequency? Couple options that are licensed - I have the fire department and utility you mentioned. There is also a towing company inside Kentucky, and a forestry products company inside the state of Tennessee.

All I've heard so far is some guy calling for another person and saying can you copy. That was earlier today, and I haven't gotten any traffic since, unfortunately.

Also, in the case of the fire department, just because they're licensed for p25 or analog does not mean they're not using DMR. Apps are often known to be wrong or incorrect.

That's a good point. Thank you.
I will continue to listen and report back if/when I hear more traffic or find more out.
