Found activity on 153.655 in Tucson. Anyone recognize it?

I don't remember the traffic. I will spend more time on it tomorrow...

Too bad that I didn't think that I wasn't centered. :) You are probably right. I was using the Signal Stalking feature on the Pro 83 with an external antenna. It did not take too long for me to figure out I was picking up stuff miles away. Not an ideal way to use a near field reciever :D

I'll put that freq in the scanner and see if it comes up the same... It better

Tucson City Government GS1 Solid Waste Mngt (Sanitation) 153.6500 158.2500

Kind of a sh!tty find huh? :)

It's actually 153.650, and its the City's "GS1" (General Services Channel 1), according to the Southwest Frequency Directory 8th Edition (www.ArizonaScanner.com)

GS1 is used by Solid Waste Management (in other words, garbage trucks), but is frequently patched to other GS channels, so you can hear all sorts of city services (traffic/engineering, housing, building safety, parks & rec, etc. when the right patches are up from other GS channels).

Thanks guys... Sorry about my stupidity. It is 153.650 and it is trashy waste and not poopey waste.

It is way too busy of a channel. With that much activity they should be splitting some of it off to another freq.
