I was hearing this freq in the Houston area...the only record I could find of it was TDCJ Huntsville/Estille Units, with a PL 0f 100.0. The freq in Houston had the same PL, and was too strong to be some sort of skip from Huntsville.

It is the repeater output for Channels 6 and 9. Channel 6 (153.785/155.025 100.0) is used in many locations, including but not limited to Coffield, Pack, Livingston and Gatesville. Channel 9 is, as theexecutioner said, the Clemens/Scott repeater. It is labeled as CLEMENS REP in most all radios in TDCJ. We pick up skip on it at Pack quite often from far western units on good nights. As far as simplex is concerned, it is programmed as Channels 15 and 47 in most newer radios, and several units will use this as their individual building security ops channels if they are around too many units to have exclusive use of the local repeater.
