153.900 P25 encrypted - Central GA area

Question,

I was scanning through the 150 mhz frequencies on SDR# and this frequency 153.900 P25/w encryption popped up with active communications through out the past few days since picking it up. I checked the database all I could find some possible matches that could have been using the frequency but they use 153.89 & 153.905 but once I tried both of those frequencies the 89 and the 905 I didn't pick up anything so I tried 153.900 again and it picked up again then it dies out I haven't heard this frequency today when scanning. I couldn't get the NAC code from DSDPlus so I am thinking maybe it was a band opening from a different county in GA or a different state.

I've both of those frequencies with SDR and DSDPLUS it seems to be I pick up 153.900 best over any of those other frequencies I'm not sure why. When the communications are active. Maybe it's 153.905 but if it is I don't pick it up as well as I do on 153.900.

I agree, it would be 153.905. That frequency has been in use for decades in Georgia.

I got it tuned back to .8975

It looks like a voting system so it's probably federal. I don't know why it's here because they're usually in the 170's.

153.xxxx would NOT be Federal, Federal would be 138-144 / 148-150.8 and 162-174

What makes you think it is a Vote-Scan system or did you really mean Voting.

Voting systems have been used by Public Safety for years to automatically select the best RX and some TX sites
vs the Dispatcher having to make those selections
