Have been hearing a new NXDN 4.8k control channel on 153.950 recently, but currently too weak to decode; Greater Madawaska (fire) maybe? (listed in DB as analog).

I was listening to GM fire on Tuesday evening with my BC125AT so that'd be one heck of a change over.

If you heard them later on Tuesday it is probably something else, as I heard the CC early Tuesday morning, and a few days before. Must have been a bit of enhanced propagation, can barely hear it now.

Just took a look at 153.950.

I see NEXEDGE 48, Site:L2097-1 RAN: 1

Now that it is summer, not as much time for monitoring.
But the days are getting shorter, and only 5 months until Christmas forced spending.

As stated, doubtful it's G.M. FD, none of the FD's in this area are NDXN.

Thought I'd just chime in though and follow the conversation.

Looks like it may be coming from the east, probably W. Quebec which seems to be big on NXDN systems numbered 20xx. Brownsburg and Lachute are licensed but IC database indicates DMR, which I've heard on and off in the past.

This morning, heard an NXDN 4.8k CC on 142.935, frequency also licensed to Brownsburg Que. but was not able to get a Network ID.

DSD is showing: 142.935 L-2097-2 Neighbor: Site L2097-1

Hope to fix my rotor soon, and also put up and 11 element 146 mhz beam.
This will help to get directions.
