154.055 - Funny sounds from Orange?

Passing near Gordonsville last night, I heard masking on 154.055 several times, and nothing on the freq where I normally hear Orange and Gordonsville PD. Could another MOTOTRBO user be with us?

I heard the same thing awhile back... Went to the VDFP Div. 2 office for a class and stayed the night and heard it also on one of the PD channel's.

Pretty sure it's Orange County Schools on 154.0550. I suspect the "noise" every few seconds is GPS data, but they also seem to be using it for voice (the "noise" sounds different, is more prolonged, and occurs when buses would be on the road).

I'll have to listen to 155.6850--didn't know that had also possibly switched to TRBO.

I heard analog traffic on 155.3700 [179.9] and 155.6850 [192.8] yesterday. Unsure if they're possibly using both analog and TRBO on these freqs...will listen more.
