154.1600 with PL 127.3 - Clayton County, GA Area ???

Monitored 154.1600 with PL 127.3 from the Clayton County, GA area this morning (Lovejoy area).

Can't find a match in database or FCC.

Any ideas anyone?

Not the correct PL tone.

Traffic sounded more like law enforcement than fire...

What he said, the SFD PL is 107.2 and rarely used anymore. Don't even hear the morning radio tests conducted there, just 800.

Well, I just read this thread and decided to set my Kenwood TM-281 to 154.160. Within a minute an officer called in a tag number! I was able to catch the PL tone, 127.3. I'm in Newnan, down I-85 about 25 miles south of the airport. Not exactly sure how far I am from Clayton county. Came in clear as a bell, but only had about half scale on the meter. Not able to tell the location.Hope this helps some how.

could also be tropo. With the wild, schizophrenic weather, the O/P may be hearing something from far off.

the last few days 2 m FM has been open especially early mornings. Heard someone from Louisiana on an Atlanta (Buckhead) 2 meter machine yesterday.

Wondering what kind of antenna you are using? I can't pick up an audible signal from this frequency and I live in the lovejoy, area. I can only see the signal level in SDRSharp.

Seriously thinking my Attic mounted antenna isn't as effective as it could be.
