Does anyone know of an agency, possible a transit, bus or cab company, in a city or town named Dunkirk, using 154.400? We have been receiving skip for the last two days on our main fire/ems frequency.

I have accounted for about five or six areas which we have received skip in the past, ranging from New York City to Green County, Tennessee. We are located in North Central West Virginia.

Thanks.

My Microsoft MapPoint shows a city/town of Dunkirk in New York, Indianana, Maryland, Mississppi, Montana, Ohio, Wisconson and Kansas. Sounds like the best bet would be for the New York (near Buffalo*) area or possibly Maryland (near Washington D C*). The Maryland area sounds most likely. New York City has a listing for 154.400 and it could be a suburb or residential area in or near New York City. * denotes info from MapPoint

Dunkirk, NY, was most recently reported to be using VHF Low Band for fire communications.
