Any chance you are hearing telemetry on 154.47875? In my area there are signals with 6K00F2D emissions for a local city's water system.

These frqs have nationwide allocations for telemetry:

154.45625 telemetry
154.46375 telemetry
154.47125 telemetry
154.47875 telemetry

In In Glassboro, Gloucester County, they have 6K00F1D, 6K00F2D signals on 154.47875 with license WQOS439 that could be the source of what you're hearing.

Getting an LT system on 154.480MHZ or so,anyone know what this is?I thank you.

154.4825 is a National Law interop channel in some states.

Here's what I located as being licensed in NJ:

WQME366 Licensee: Atlanticare Medical Center EMS Radio Service: Industrial/Business Pool, Conventional (IG) City: Egg Harbor Twp, NJ

WPRL947 Licensee: JENKINSON S PAVILLION Radio Service: Industrial/Business Pool, Conventional (IG) City: POINT PLEASANT BEACH, NJ

KLI339 Licensee: LAKELAND BUS LINES INC Radio Service: Industrial/Business Pool, Conventional (IG) City: DOVER, NJ

It may take more time listening in conventional mode to determine the user your scanner may be hearing.

Happy monitoring, Mick

hmmm

So you think it could be motorola turbo? The system ID comes up sometimes but it says some numbers and I have no idea what they mean.It makes the p25 noise then the carrier drops for a second then it continues its buzzing along.Did say LT system but no unit IDs come up.

EJM is right. TRBO sounds quite similar to P25, and it might be confusing the scanner. I have pretty good sound clips of it on my website...
